Cruiser was found in a local neighborhood. He seemed like he belonged to someone at one time. It took his rescuer several attempts for him to trust her. The rescuer noticed him limping the first time she saw him. We took him into the vet and he had a shattered hip bone or femur. This injury was more than likely caused from being hit by a car. Apparently this injury was somewhat old and Cruiser had been managing the pain for a while. Repairing the hip is a very delicate surgery and cost PAL about $800. Cruiser is now resting and recovering in a foster home awaiting his forever home.
